    Green, water cell covered bracts of this Aizoon-like mesemb are differently shaped to the slightly folded leaf upon which the hairs may have it over the water cells. The bracts are more rounded than the leaves and have more shine.

    The open flower has half its stamens developed and spreading, the others still cohering around the ovary in the centre.

    The concave, sac-like parts at the tips of the inside surfaces of the perianth segments sag notably (Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist).
