The Cyphia crenata fruits in picture are fleshy green and ovoid, ripening among flowers in a prolific season. The style of the flower persists at the tip of the fruit.
The corolla tubes seen from the side are slender, slightly swollen at the base. The narrow calyx lobes cover only an insignificant part of the corolla tube.
Cyphia seeds are discoid and winged or three-angled (Manning, 2007; Le Roux, et al, 2005; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; iSpot).
