Racemes of these delicate Cyphia stenopetala flowers grow from leaf axils. There are three narrow white, lilac or pale pink lobes in the upper lip of the corolla and two in the lower one. The corolla base is tubular. Flowers are from 11 mm to 21 mm long. Flowering happens from spring to autumn. The flowers of resemble those of Lobelia.
This plant was photographed in May at the foot of the Magaliesberg near Hekpoort (Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; Fabian and Germishuizen, 1982; iNaturalist).
