    Fleshy green Calobota cytisoides fruit pods shine a little in the September morning sun. Slightly flatter than cylindrical, seams at the back and front of the pods are visible. Neither constrictions between the seeds, nor indications where they are positioned inside the pods are present.

    Brown, wrinkled calyces are still worn at the top ends of pods like winter jumpers, while curly styles persist on some pod tips. Bunches of curved, white threads in view may have been filaments earlier, when they were well hidden inside the yellow corollas (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
