The leaves of Calobota cytisoides are trifoliolate on long, channelled petioles (stalks) with no stipules. The leaflets are without petiolules (stalkless). There is a whitish mark where the leaflets meet their stalk and each other. Leaflets and leaves in picture are strongly angled up in the photo.

Leaflet shape is elliptic or oblanceolate with pointed tips and entire margins. The blades are glaucous (blue-green), covered in minute, silvery hairs and folded in along their midribs. Leaflets become 3,5 cm long (Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
