The leaves of Calobota sericea are trifoliolate on long, channelled petioles (stalks) with no stipules at the petiole bases. There are white patches where leaves meet the stem and where the leaflets join. The leaflets are without petiolules (stalkless).

Leaflet shape is narrowly elliptic or oblanceolate to linear. The upper surfaces are channelled their tips, pointed and the margins entire. The blades are glaucous (blue-green), covered in minute, silvery hairs. Leaflets become 3,5 cm long (Manning, 2007; Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
