Cyanella orchidiformis inflorescence

The fragrant inflorescence of Cyanella orchidiformis is a lax raceme or a sparsely branched panicle standing tall above its leaf rosette.

The flowers grow on purple, curved, fairly erect pedicels. There is a narrow, pointed bract, pale and papery at the pedicel base of each flower as well as one halfway up the pedicel length.
