This Cephalophyllum loreum flower seen at Kagga Kamma during September has cream petals, shorter in the inner rows. Some petal tips are minutely forked, a feature not always seen on this plant.
The numerous anthers are spread in a loose cluster, all white and by now narrowly oblong.
The flower is positioned close to the sand in which the large grains represent a range of colours (Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist).
