    The hairy, yellowish green buds of Crassula tomentosa var. tomentosa that will in due course open their white or yellow corollas, now still show only their sepals. The flowers grow in small side-branchlets from the main scape, bearing even smaller stem-leaves than upon the main stem.

    An inflorescence may become 60 cm tall (Frandsen, 2017; Smith, et al, 2017; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
