Crassula fallax branches at the base and produces pale green oblong to obovate leaves with rounded tips. The leaves are slightly fleshy with entire margins that are conspicuously hair-fringed, not seen in the photo. Leaves are densely clustered at the stem bases.
Small leaf pairs occur up the yellowish or creamy flower stems, sometimes widely spaced and decreasing in size on the way up (Mustart, et al, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
