Crassula fascicularis, commonly known as the fragrant crassula and in Afrikaans as the ruiksissie (smell sissy), is a small, branched shrublet that reaches 40 cm in height.

The erect stems become topped by clusters of white, cream or yellow-green spring flowers. Each flower has a long tube enveloped halfway up its length in a pale green or pinkish calyx. The flowers allure mainly lies in the five delicate, recurving petals.

The species distribution in the Western Cape ranges from Vanrhynsdorp and the Gifberg to the Cape Peninsula, the Langeberg Mountains and Bredasdorp.

Its habitat is fynbos sandstone slopes. The habitat population is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century.

The plant deserves a thought from especially Cape gardeners (Smith, et al, 2017; Manning 2009; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
