    Crassula pyramidalis produces masses of tiny flowers at its branched stem-tips. The tubular flowers are fragrant.

    The leaves below are losing their green colour already, not having long to live. After flowering these stems die. Remains of a dead stem from a previous season are visible on the ground next to the plant.

    One of the stems has done a branch high up, both tips flowering. It seems as if the stem that branches high up will flower on all or several of its tips concurrently. Where this does not happen, the non-flowering ones would lose their chance as the stem dies after flowering (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; http://worldofsucculents.com).
