Most Crassula species in cultivation come from indigenous populations endemic to South Africa. The genus is large, comprising around 200 species. Many crassulas are cultivated by planting stem or leaf cuttings. They are mostly drought and frost resistant, but usually require at least halfday sun to thrive.
