    After flowering the Crassula barbata inflorescence is elongated, the flower clusters more spaced, brown and dry. Ovaries morphing into fruits hold and release seeds, upon which the leaf rosette dies, its job done.

    But look, a tiny new plant has started growing in the moss next to the old one, to be followed later hopefully by many more from this plant’s efforts (Frandsen, 2017; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010).
