    Much branching of Crassula nudicaulis var. platyphylla stems has taken place here. Secondary rooting may have contributed to expansion of the clump, while breaks may have occurred, resulting in separate plants. The leaf rosettes are all flattened into oblong rather than circular arrangements, the growth habit of this variety of C. nudicaulis and some other crassulas.

    The red-rimmed leaves are blue-grey and smooth but for wrinkling from moisture loss. Some blades show the tiny dots often found on these leaves (Frandsen, 2017; Smith, et al, 2017; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015).
