Old Othonna parviflora plants may be quite tall, here well over 2 m. Their stems branch only high up like proper trees.

The biggest stem parts have given up the leaf business long ago. The leaves present are notably smaller than those seen on young, robust plants

Richer in flowers than leaves, these plants are making most of their golden years. A well developed root system functions like a pension (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
