The oblanceolate leaves of Osteospermum acanthospermum taper to the base. There are a few angular teeth on the margins near the leaf tips. The leaf midrib, a sturdy elongation of the stalk, is conspicuous near the base, invisible near the tip of the bright green blade. Long, pale hairs are sparsely scattered on the leaves, mainly along the margins (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
