Oedera sedifolia before and after flowering

The involucral bracts of Oedera sedifolia become narrow and stiff when dried and the fruits depart. They appear brush-like before dropping and leaving only the brown receptacle knob at the stem-tip.

The upper leaves in picture do not appear as alternate on all stems as is commonly seen (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
