Moraea minor flower

The salmon pink (sometimes yellow) flowers of Moraea minor are cup-shaped, all six tepals similar. The round-tipped tepals spread, angled up above the cup that is greenish yellow inside. The upper tepal parts, the spreading lobes have dark lines up the centre and short dark marks at the mouth, along the end of the pale basal or cup. Markings on inner and outer tepals are almost identical, but not quite.

The yellow anthers are presented at about the height of the corolla mouth. In this flower they still cohere in the centre (Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
