In this close-up of a Moraea inclinata flower the petal-like style in the centre has a white inner surface before the three branches become narrow, split and curve in.
The stigmas are situated on the outside of these branches where they split. The three stamens are pressed against the outside of the style branches, the pollen red as in the photo, not far from where the stigmas should be.
The outer tepals have darker, more conspicuous veins (Manning, 2009; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Pooley, 1998).
