    Oxalis caprina, commonly known in Afrikaans as bokspootjie (little goat or antelope hoof) or boksuring (goat or antelope sorrel), is a short-stemmed perennial growing several flowers from one peduncle and reaching up to 20 cm in height.

    The species distribution is in the Western Cape from the Cape Peninsula to the Little Karoo.

    The habitat is flats, often in places where the soil has been disturbed. The species is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Privett and Lutzeyer, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
