Oxalis incarnata, commonly pale-pink sorrel, is a geophyte. The herbaceous, dwarf plant grows branched stems that form mats, reaching heights from 10 cm to 30 cm.
The species distribution is in the south of the Western and the Eastern Cape, from Tulbagh and the Cape Peninsula to Uitenhage.
The habitat is moist, mainly coastal scrub often in shade. The plant is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Moriarty, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
