The scented Monsonia herrei flower is white or pale cream, usually with a yellow centre. Its five sepals and petals are free to the base. The stiff, dull-green sepals are acutely pointed and covered in silky hairs, appearing darker on the buds than the open flower in picture.

The petals become broader to their about squarely truncated tips. The delicately thin and wrinkled petal surfaces are similar to those of many members of the genus. Flower diameter of M. herrei is about 2,5 cm.

The yellow anthers in picture are chunky and channelled.

Blooming happens through winter and spring (Williamson, 2010; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist; http://llifle.com).
