Pelargonium trifidum wide shrub

Pelargonium trifidum shrubs may become much wider than tall. This sprawling one was seen near Oudtshoorn.

The branches of this Pelargonium will scramble into other vegetation where they get the opportunity. The plant in picture seems to have lost an important space sharing partner. It now has to reach up without help, determining its body shape independently (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist; ww.plantzafrica.com).
