Against the sky the Pelargonium luridum pseudo-umbels appear to stand tall here on long, wiry peduncles; green and not straight but erect.
Flowers and buds may point in any direction in the spherical inflorescence shape resulting from the equal length of so many pedicels. After flowering, however, the heavier fruits growing under their sepal lobe covers in the swelling ovaries succumb to gravity as seen in the photo (Pooley, et al, 2005; Manning, 2009; Germishuizen and Clarke, 2003; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
