Pelargonium schlechteri flowers

A Pelargonium schlechteri flower has five obovate petals, the upper pair in picture unmarked and broad-tipped, the lower trio smaller, round-tipped and marked softly near the base. The often-bicoloured petals are yellow in different shades with mauve, maroon or purple markings and white edges. Some plants also have markings on the upper petals, differing from those on the lower ones. The markings may either be petal-wide or localised and in deep shades. The petals in picture tend to curve in, i.e. the upper surfaces of many of them are concave. Petal dimensions are 8 mm to 12 mm long and 4 mm to 10 mm wide.

The usually seven fertile stamens cohere on white filaments that in picture appear thicker near the base, the oblong anthers pale purplish brown. 

The long, purple pedicels are faintly white-haired and have kinks in their middle parts (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist; https://www.pelargonium.si).
