    The almost rectangular, narrow upper petals of these Pelargonium reniforme flowers (with rounded corners) have two-toned white and dark rectangular markings in the centre. The lower three petals curve inwards from the margin and backwards lengthwise. All the petals are similarly pink-purple or magenta in colour. This is one of a few Pelargonium species that flowers throughout the year.

    The closed buds show hairy sepal surfaces, as do the open calyces where the corollas have fallen, but the fruits have not yet developed (Gledhill, 1981).
