    Markings on the corolla of a Pelargonium triste flower vary, may also look like this. Dark purple bands run down the centre of the three lower petals. The upper pair has only faint touches from the same brush on their outer halves. P. triste may also have dark maroon petal bands.

    The droop in the lower petals is only sometimes seen. It may indicate some plant discomfort, possibly moisture related.
