This Pelargonium carnosum subsp. carnosum leaf was seen in the veld near Oudtshoorn. The deep division into narrow, angular lobes is clear to see, as are the succulence and the in-curving to form channels along the blade tops. There is a slight hairiness perceptible upon the pale surfaces. Leaves may become as long as 20 cm.

The plant is sometimes called the vetplantmalva (succulent pelargonium) in Afrikaans, but more due to the thick succulent stems than the leaves (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
