    The fruit of Pachypodium succulentum is a follicle. A somewhat spindle-shaped pair of dark grey-green ones is present at a stem-tip among some later flowers on this Little Karoo plant.

    The seeds that will be freed are attached to tufts of hairs that allow wind dispersal once they are ripe.

    The bark on the largely leafless stems is pale grey and here appears smooth (Frandsen, 2017; Smith, et al, 2017; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist).
