    The bracts around the central discs of the Syncarpha paniculata flowerheads in picture have faded to white already. The discs comprising many florets each are yellow at their peak, pale before and dark afterwards. Flowerheads open to 1,5 cm in diameter.

    The cluster of flowerheads on stalks that branch near the stem tip is typically flat-topped or nearly so. The stalks have leaves right to the flowerhead (Manning, 2007; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; iSpot).
