The ovate to elliptic leaves of Struthiola tomentosa overlap and ascend along the often erect stems. The softly white-haired leaves are pointed here, but may also be rounded. They are dark green in colour with some dull red added, especially near their tips and bases. Hairiness may decrease with leaf age.
A common name of woolly-leaved struthiola is sometimes seen (Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
