    This perennial, herbaceous but woody shrub of South Africa and Namibia has small, irregular indented or spidery leaves and white or light blue flowers.

    There are over 800 salvias worldwide, just over twenty of them indigenous South African.

    Like many plants of its genus, Salvia namaensis is widely used in traditional medicine.
