The flowers of Solanum laciniatum are produced in clusters of up to ten during summer. The calyx has five short, triangular lobes that enlarge slightly during fruiting.

The corolla is five-petalled, purple blue with conspicuous, bright yellow anthers. Flower diameter is about 4 cm. The fruit is an ellipsoid, yellow berry of about 2,5 cm long when ripe.

The unripe fruits are poisonous (www.flora.sa.gov.au; Wikipedia).
