This plant thought to be Tetragonia reduplicata was photographed in the Biedouw Valley during September. It is a much-branched, erect subshrub.
The species distribution is in the west of the Western and Northern Cape, as well as in Namibia and possibly Angola.
The plants grow in the open on sandy and stony flats and slopes. It is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
