A Tetragonia reduplicata stem-tip dedicated to flowering may droop under the weight of the long-stalked, hanging fruits grown from leaf axils. The shorter-stalked leaves at the same stem-tip are erect in contrast.
The soft upper stem has reducing spaces between its nodes near the tip. The stem surface is fainter haired than the stubbly, young fruit wings.
The pinkish orange perianth segments hanging below the purple and green fruits are folded but not yet withered (iNaturalist).
