The flowers of Wahlenbergia nodosa grow solitary at stem-tips or from leaf axils. There are five narrowly pointed sepals, much shorter than the petals. In picture they are visible between the star-shaped spread of the petal lobes. The sepals end in mucros, like the leaves.
The creamy white or yellow corolla has five narrow, oblong petals that are shallowly channelled. They form a cup at the base and extend their tips that recurve later. The flower is about 7 mm in diameter.
In the bud stage the outer petal surfaces are coppery brown, the bud longish and about cylindrical.
Flowering happens from spring to autumn after rain (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
