Wiborgia tetraptera, in Afrikaans commonly known as the witkorrelertjie (white pellet pea), is an erect, twiggy shrub reaching heights from 60 cm to 1,5 m. The young branches are hairy.
The species distribution lies in parts of the Northern Cape and Western Cape form Calvinia and Nieuwoudtville to Darling and the Hex River Valley.
The habitat is gravelly renosterveld slopes where the plants grow in clayey soils. The species is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
