The long, flat, strap-shaped leaves of Tulbaghia maritima grow from the base and curve down with rounded tips, a typical leaf-shape of monocot plants. They are deep green to dark green, glossy and longitudinally lined by parallel veins (Moriarty, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1994; iNaturalist).
