Viscum rotundifolium inflorescences

Few-flowered Viscum rotundifolium inflorescences abound here at stem-tips. Close below them are leaves, as well as fused bracts subtending the tiny florets.

The white inside some of the florets in picture are stamens announcing the male florets, the female ones bearing styles on ovaries close by in the same inflorescences.

Stem angularity is conspicuous in this species. The stubby stems are six-sided or -ribbed (Van Rooyen and Van Rooyen, 2019; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist).
