The leaves of this Trachyandra falcata plant thrive, long and blue-green, full of sap. The inflorescence is well shorter than the leaves.
The open flowers last for about one day, the next in line waiting their turn immediately above the open ones. One small branch of the inflorescence is preparing to add its flowers soon on the side (Manning, 2007; Le Roux, et al, 2005; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997).
