This Zygophyllum plant was found flowering near the coast between Gansbaai and Pearly Beach in June.

The narrow leaflets are ovate, elliptic or obovate and sometimes asymmetrical. Their tips are rounded to acutely pointed, mostly pointing up. The leaflet colour is pale grey-green, its texture smooth and succulent.

The five pale yellow petals are pointed; tapering or attenuating. They seem to open only partly, not spreading widely as many Zygophyllum flowers do. The small maroon markings in the throat, halfway up the petals are small, only seen on the upper petals.

Some pendulous buds are present. The peduncles of some still too short for allowing that. Or maybe the droopy ones have finished flowering.
