Babiana ambigua pale blue

This blue flowering Babiana ambigua plant was seen in August at Onrus. Mauve and fairly pink forms of the plant also occur.

This species is winter growing. It is one of the easier babianas to grow in gardens. It is not threatened in habitat early in the twenty first century (Bean and Johns, 2005; www.redlist.sanbi.org).
