Brunia noduliflora leaves are small, 2 mm to 3 mm long and up to 1 mm wide, shaped lanceolate to triangular. The leaves overlap each other and their tips curve in to adhere to the stem.

The minutely hairy branches are mostly upturned ending in whitish tips. The in-turned tips of the similar-sized leaves and the regularity of the leaf overlap mostly bring about a smooth and neat, slightly snaky appearance to the sleek branches (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning. 2007; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000).
