The unscented yellow Bulbinella nutans inflorescence is densely flowered, bulging in the section of its open flowers, in picture the middle section. The flowers may also be cream or nearly white.

The flowers are long-lasting, causing flowers in a broad part of the raceme to be open simultaneously. Blooming happens in late winter and spring, after which the plant becomes summer dormant (Manning, 2007; Bean and Johns, 2005; iNaturalist).
