The habitat of Disa roseovittata is sour grassland, probably where there is reasonable moisture in its summer growing season. The plants are found at elevations from 1200 m to 1800 m. The species is endemic to Mpumalanga where it grows to the west of Swaziland (iNaturalist; iSpot; www.orchidspecies.com).
