Delosperma leendertziae flowers

The flowers of Delosperma leendertziae are a golden yellow for slightly more than the upper halves of their ascending petals. The petal bases of some plants are white around the central cone of stamens. These cones may be somewhat unkempt from the presence of short petals, the inner tiny, thread-like, white ones around the stamens.

When the petals go, the five sepals persist around the initially red purple tops of the green fruit. Bloomtime is spring and summer (Smith, et al, 1998; Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; iNaturalist).
