The flowers of Haemanthus pubescens subsp. pubescens grow in a compact umbel-shaped head. Each small flower has a short, swollen perianth tube and linear tepals up to 26 mm long. The flowers vary in colour from red and orange to pink or white, their tips white and the pollen yellow.

Flowering happens from late summer, peaking in early autumn. The leaves appear by mid-autumn and the pinkish globose fruits ripen late autumn.

The globose fruits are soft, pinkish to white, translucent berries, up to 24 mm in diameter. The seeds are 5 mm in diameter (Duncan, et al, 2016; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
