Heliophila linearis var. reticulata flowering

The flowers of Heliophila linearis var. reticulata grow in racemes at stem tips. The hairy, green and sometimes partly red flower stalks are long, allowing the flowers to nod once they open.

The almost oblong sepals have rounded horn-like tips folding in. They can be observed peeping out from the gaps between the white petals in picture. The four white or pale blue petals are elliptic and spreading, raggedly toothed at their broad tips (Privett and Lutzeyer, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
