Some long, thin, cylindrical fruit pods are prominent on this Heliophila linearis var. reticulata plant. They are linear, pinkish red and yellow in colour with slight constrictions between the seeds. Each fruit is still tipped with the remains of the swollen style of the departed flower.
Simultaneously there are clusters of new, yellow-tipped buds present as well, ready to open on this industrious plant that is capitalising on favourable conditions and stored-up resources (Privett and Lutzeyer, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
